It’s recently been found that the old plastic Macbooks have started show signs of wear and tear. Pressure and hairline cracks starting to appear all over the outer casing is a sign of more bitching and moaning to come from the general public.
I guess that because Apple has modelled itself as a company of product and service ‘perfection’, any imperfection however small is deemed unacceptable by anyone who purchase their products. Especially if we’re talking about the MacBooks which are so much more expensive compared to the other laptops out there.
The funny thing is, I don’t see it as imperfection. I just see this as something ordinary. After all, everything breaks down sooner or later and Macs are no exception. Even the Aluminium Unibody Macbooks. Give it some time. It’s cracks and flaws will start showing soon enough.
Hell, if this were a Dell or HP or any other brand, people would shrug and move on. But no, this sense of ‘Apples must be perfect’ has spawned a whole Flickr album full of people who just upload pictures of their chipped cracked and broken Macbooks.
Stop bitching people. It’s normal.
